“Cleaning Up Your Inbox in 10 Minutes.”
Tech Tips, Tricks & Cybersecurity Advice – No Jargon, Just Help
Hey Techie,
How many unread emails do you have right now?
10? 100? …1,000+? 😅
Yeah — it adds up fast.
But here’s the good news:
You don’t need to “catch up.”
You just need a quick reset.
📥 The Real Problem
Email isn’t overwhelming because of volume.
It’s overwhelming because of:
• Too many subscriptions
• Too much clutter
• No simple system
So everything piles up… and gets ignored.
✅ The Simple Fix
We’re not aiming for a perfect inbox.
Just a cleaner, calmer one.
1) Unsubscribe (Start Here)
Open a few emails and look for: “Unsubscribe”
Click it.
Do this for:
• Newsletters you don’t read
• Store emails you ignore
• Anything that feels like noise
👉 Try just 5 to start
2) Bulk Delete the Junk
Here’s a quick trick:
Search your inbox for:
• “Promotions”
• A store name (like Amazon, Target, etc.)
Then: 👉 Select all → delete, Instant cleanup.
3) Keep It Simple (No Fancy System)
You don’t need 20 folders.
Start with just:
• Important
• Everything else
Or honestly… No folders at all is fine too.
4) Star or Flag What Matters
When something actually matters:
👉 Star it (or flag it)
That way it doesn’t get lost. Simple and effective.
💡 Quick Tip
You don’t need to read every email.
Most emails are:
• Informational
• Promotional
• Or irrelevant
👉 Skipping them is not a problem
🚫 What to Avoid
A few common traps:
• Trying to organize everything perfectly
• Creating too many folders
• Letting subscriptions pile up again
Simple systems stick.
🧓 The Grandparent Test
If I had to simplify this: “Unsubscribe from a few things and delete the junk.”
That alone makes a big difference.
📦 This Week’s Simple Upgrade
Take 10 minutes and:
👉 Unsubscribe from 5 emails
👉 Delete a batch of old messages
That’s it.
